Sample It launches on Tuesday, April 30th from 7:00 – 8:30 pm. Gathering retailers, businesses, and craft creators, Sample It offers the chance for attendees to preview and purchase new and upcoming products at great prices in a cash-and-carry event. 

With products purchased at Sample It, attendees can create samples for their businesses before products launch so they’re ahead of the curve. If you can’t make it to the event, you can also reach out to the brands participating in Sample It on h+h connect to let them know the products you are interested in.

Baa Ram Ewe

Baa Ram Ewe have a passion for wool and have made it their mission to share the beautiful, natural properties of this sustainable fiber through a range of luxurious, breed-specific yarns that highlight the difference in qualities from sheep to sheep. They have developed a range of pure wool yarns, carefully curating each shade range and fiber composition, and working with farmers, spinners and dyers in the UK.

Bark Needle Niceties

Bark Beetle Niceties creates DIY felt decor and ornament kits full of loveliness and charm. While  kits are designed for beginners, they also suit those looking for the gratification of finishing a project within a few hours, no matter their skill level. Kits include everything needed to complete the project, except scissors, which makes them ideal for specialty yarn, fabric and quilting shops looking to expand their offerings without having to invest in new supplies. All packaging is curbside recyclable.

Blissful Ewe

American Ewe Yarns proudly sources their wool from the Shaniko Wool Co, where sustainability is a way of life, not a slogan.  The ranches raising this wool follow Responsible Wool Standards in the management of their flocks and land. The wool is processed and spun in North Carolina and every skein is hand dyed in 24 slightly tonal shades in upstate New York. 

Buttermilk Basin 

Buttermilk Basin was born from native Minnesotan Stacy West, who grew up surrounded by four generations of makers. Stacy first started a pattern company with her mother (Pitter Patter Pigtail Girls) to help provide an income for their family, then in 2002, Stacy started her own company. A whirlwind of years of hard work, learning, good timing, good people, and GREAT designs came together, and Buttermilk Basin was born! Buttermilk Basin offers vintage inspired designs for the creative soul: patterns, kits, wool, needlework supplies, fabric, hand dyed floss and buttons, fibers, sewing books, Simply Vintage Magazines and more!

Gazzal is an internationally renowned design-led luxury hand knitting yarn and industrial yarn company, with 40 years of experience in yarn production. They are an ethically conscious brand, with an emphasis on creating luxury, premium yarns sourced from natural fibers.

Ikigai Fiber

Ikigai Fiber is a yarn and embellishment company based in Southern California, owned and operated by Pam Sasaki-Powers, a knitwear designer with experience in various publications and independent projects. The company was launched in 2019 and offers a range of products including yarn, faux fur pom-poms, buttons, jewels and mini skeins, as well as patterns for knitting, crochet and embroidery projects.

Kiriki Press Ltd.

Kiriki Press was launched in December 2012 with seven embroidery patterns, and the collection has grown over the years and is currently expanding to include a range of other DIY products.  The company has been featured in Uppercase, Canadian Living, Chatelaine, Bust Magazine, Homespun, as well as many other print publications and craft blogs.

Manos Del Uruguay / Fairmount Fibers

The Manos Cooperatives were founded in 1968, begun by five women whose goal was to develop economic opportunities for women in a country where there were, and are still, few opportunities for work.

They began modestly, by selling handcrafts at local shops and the annual agricultural show in Montevideo. In time spinning, dyeing, weaving and knitting became the focus of the Coop’s efforts. Each purchased skein of Manos del Uruguay yarn helps a woman support her family. Each skein is signed so crafters know who made their yarn, and from which village it came. 


Melissa Galbraith is the fiber artist behind MCreativeJ. Drawing on her love of nature, Melissa creates whimsical and modern embroidery patterns and kits. She loves making the art of hand embroidery easy and approachable with her embroidery kits, patterns, and workshops. Melissa’s embroidery kits and patterns make it easy to learn a new craft for makers of all skill levels. She enjoys seeing makers fall in love with the needle arts, especially that magical ah-ha moment of learning something new.

Mitchell Wool Company

The Mitchell family began the Mitchell Wool Company  because they had 53 acres that they wanted to put to use to enrich Michigan soil. They fell in love with their flock and now feel like they work for them! Their desire is to grow yarn with kindness. The sheep for their yarns live on their farm, their neighbor grows the hay, the grain is local, their local mill spins the yarn 40 miles away. They also dye the yarns with plants mostly grown on the farm.
